Accommodations ... LE TRE STALLETTE - Bed & Breakfast - San Polo dei Cavalieri - Lazio

The TRE STALLETTE (the three stables) would have originally been used to keep the mule, a pig and hens. They’re set on a terraced hillside, close by the historic centre of San Polo dei Cavalieri, in a garden with olive trees and vines. The buildings themselves (Le Terrazze) have been converted into 4 rustic style rooms – bedroom, kitchen, storeroom and bathroom - and include a patio, garden, terrace and barbecue. From the garden and terrace we continue to enjoy the spectacular views of the Aniene and Tiber valleys which sweep from the mountains to the Mediterranean.

The main accommodation (Le Cantine) is in the historic centre, which dates from the 11th century. During the renovation of our own apartment we acquired cellars below the property, which had been used by previous owners to store wine, oil, grains and even a mule on the stairs. This part of the house has been completely restored and provides a comfortable apartment with living room/kitchen, bedroom and bathroom and a splendid view across the rolling hills of the Aniene valley. The apartment is equipped with washing machine, TV/DVD Player and central heating.

LE TRE STALLETTE fino agli anni sessanta venivano usate per allevarci maiali, galline o riparo per il mulo. Sono situate proprio alla fine del borgo medievale su una collina a terrazze coltivata a ulivi e alberi da frutta; negli ultimi anni la zona sta rivivendo una nuova primavera sia per il restauro di abitazioni abbandonate per decenni, sia per la maggiore cura dedicata alla campagna. Le tre stalle sono state recuperate e oggi sono diventate. con il terreno ad esse adiacente e la terrazza sovrastante, un posto (Le terrazze) dal quale si può godere una vista spettacolare che spazia dalla valle dell’Aniene a quella del Tevere, dalle montagne dell’Appennino al mar Mediterraneo.

L’abitazione principale si trova nel borgo medievale che si fa risalire all’11° secolo. Durante il restauro del nostro appartamento abbiamo acquisito dei locali sottostanti che furono utilizzati dai precedenti proprietari come cantine per conservare vino, olio, farina e riparo per l’asino. Questa parte della casa (Le cantine), con entrata indipendente, è stata completamente recuperata e con il soggiorno, la camera da letto e il bagno attiguo offre un piacevole posto dove rilassarsi e godere della bella vista sulla campagna e le colline della valle dell’Aniene. Le Cantine sono fornite di lavatrice, TV/Lettore DVD e riscaldamento.
