Things to do: San Polo is a good base for a variety of outdoor activities including hill walking, rock climbing, and bird watching in the Monti Lucretili where the flora is also of great interest.
There is a water park nearby and thermal baths at Crotone and Bagni di Tivoli.
The many hilltop towns in the area, such as Vicovaro, Palombara Sabina and Castel Madama host numerous cultural and gastronomic events, as well being fascinating in themselves just to stroll around and enjoy. When you’ve walked enough and it’s time to rest and eat, restaurants offering local specialities abound. In San Polo alone the choice is impressive for such a small town: there are five main restaurants.
If you take the road from San Polo up to Monte Morra, first, you will come to the pinewood where children love to play. Further up, you will pass through the chestnut wood where you can take a picnic or have a barbecue.
In the town, below the main square, there is a children’s playground and a five-a-side football pitch.

Cose da fare: San Polo dei Cavalieri è una base ideale per chi ama le passeggiate, rock climbing, bird watching; nel Parco dei Monti Lucretili si può fare tutto ciò ed anche appassionarsi alla flora e alla geologia, antiche attrattive di questi luoghi.
C’è un acquapark nelle vicinanze e acque termali a Cretone e a Bagni di Tivoli.
Le numerose cittadine sulle colline dei dintorni, come Vicovaro, Castel Madama, Palombara Sabina e tante altre, ospitano eventi culturali e gastronomici, oltre al fascino e al piacere della scoperta di posti sovente poco conosciuti…e quando arriva il momento di riposarsi e mangiare, abbondano i ristoranti con le varie specialità locali. Per una cittadina non grande come San Polo la scelta è notevole: ci sono cinque ristoranti! 
Se si prende la strada che va verso il monte Morra, dopo un po’ si arriva ad una pineta dove i bambini amano giocare. Salendo più su, si attraversa un bosco di castagni attrezzato per picnic e barbecue.
In paese, adiacente alla piazza con la fontana, c’è un parco giochi con un campo di calcetto a cinque.
